What happened to StreamEast?

Short answer: it's gone. The original StreamEast was shut down in September 2025 and has not returned.

The shutdown

StreamEast was one of the biggest free sports streaming sites in the world. In September 2025, the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, a coalition of film and TV studios and sports partners, worked with police in Egypt to take it offline. More than 80 of its domains were seized.

Is StreamEast coming back?

There's no sign of it. Many sites now use the StreamEast name, but none of them are connected to the original. Copycat streaming sites often carry aggressive pop-ups, fake download buttons and malware, and they can disappear without warning.

Is there a free way to watch?

Yes, for some games. CBS, Fox, NBC and ABC are free over the air, so a cheap TV antenna gets you every game they show, with no subscription. Everything else, like ESPN, TNT, Prime Video or Peacock, needs a paid plan.

Where to watch games legally

• NFL: CBS, Fox, NBC, ESPN and ABC, plus Prime Video on Thursday nights and NFL+ for phones.
• NBA: ESPN, ABC, NBC and Peacock, Prime Video, and NBA League Pass.
• NHL: ESPN and ESPN+, TNT, and local sports networks.
• MLB: Fox, ESPN, TBS, and MLB.TV.
• College football and basketball: ESPN, ABC, Fox, CBS, NBC and Peacock.
• F1: Apple TV.
• UFC and soccer: Paramount+, Peacock, USA Network, Apple TV and others.
